Last Day of School 2013

We officially have a 2nd Grader and a Kindergartener in the house now! Where has the time gone? They are looking forward to playing outside and swimming a ton this summer. And, getting to stay up later!

Julian had a field day yesterday to celebrate the end of the school year. I was a little chilly and windy for my liking, but the kids all had a great time!

Kaleb had his Pre-K class picnic this morning. We got to eat breakfast out on the playground and then all the kids got certificates for "graduating" from Pre-School.

Happy Summer Everyone!!

Kaleb's Pre-K Field Trip

After being postponed for a week due to a lovely May snowstorm, Kaleb's Pre-K class took a field trip to the Topeka Zoo this past week. The weather was perfect and all the kids had a great time walking around the zoo and then playing at the park.

Julian's First Grade Field Trip

Julian's 1st grade class took a field trip to the Kansas National Guard Museum and the Combat Air Museum. They were originally supposed to go to the zoo too, but unfortunately the weather was not cooperative (windy and in the 40's for the 3rd of May). The museums were a lot of fun and I think all the kids really enjoyed getting a close-up look at the planes and helicopers.

We will definitely be making another trip to see all this, there was a lot to see!

Pre-Season Baseball 2013

Julian is playing on a new baseball team this year, and he has been excited to get the season going. They have been practicing indoors since February, and finally got the chance to practice outside last week. This was the first time he has got to use a pitching machine and there were mixed results.

While he didn't do too bad starting off, it didn't end too well. He swung at an inside pitch and here were the results.

The swelling has gone down now and he can bend it better, and it didn't deter him from playing in their first scrimmage on Saturday. He stopped a few ground balls that came his way, and didn't hesitate to get back up in the batter's box.

Here's hoping for a great season this spring!

Happy Easter!

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter! We had gorgeous weather and got to spend time with family and play outside. Both boys had a blast this year.

We did the city Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, and their buckets were FULL!

This morning they were both up at 5:50 ready to see if the Easter Bunny had come by. He left some treats inside, and then left eggs outside the front door. (He indicated that he did not want to leave them out in the yard, since there was a slight chance of rain overnight.)

We went out to Grandpa and Grandma's for lunch and more egg hunting. Julian also had to get in a quick drive on the lawn mower and Kaleb had to take a spin in his truck. Then a little game of baseball was a must.

I also managed in sneak in a couple of nice pictures of the boys too!!

Happy Easter to you all!!
