Christmas 2012

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. Both of the boys were very excited at the idea of Santa visiting and counted down the days until we could all open our gifts from under the tree. Kaleb could hardly contain his excitement as Christmas day drew closer. It was great to see them as excited to watch someone open a gift they made/gave as they were to open gifts.

Here are a few of the highlights:

One Mile {Home Style}

Introducing, One Mile {Home Style}! The One Mile {Home Style} blog will focus more on the DIY, organization and art projects, and the original One Mile blog here will continue to be more of a family scapbook. I have decided to make this change to better streamline and organize the original One Mile blog. Thanks for reading and following us along on our journey, be sure to stop by and check out the new space too.

Christmas Program

Last night we enjoyed the grade school Christmas Program. Julian did a great job singing and dancing with his class. The Grinch made an appearance later in the show and had Kaleb's full attention the entire time. He made sure that I knew that it was not the real Grinch, just someone dressed like him.

The boys also got their new Christmas ornaments this week too. They were pretty excited to hang them up on the tree.

Stay tuned for an update about this blog. I think the changes that are in the works will be great and hopefully as a reader/follower you will like them too. Until then...

Feelin' Festive

I love Christmas! I really love dragging out all of my decorations and dressing up the house. I love putting up the Christmas tree and hanging ornaments up with the boys. And I love the anticipation the boys have leading up to Christmas Eve and Christmas morning to see if Santa came for a visit.

We had a very productive week and weekend of getting lights up on the outside of the house (thanks honey!) and getting the inside all prettied up. I still have more I want to do, and a storage tub FULL of miscellaneous Christmas ball ornaments that I have big ideas for.

Here are some snapshots of what I have been up to:

 Here's wishing you the opportunity to feel like a kid again as the excitement for Christmas builds.
